I was just sitting here reading my friend’s blog when in toddled my 2 1/2-year-old rubbing her eyes and announcing she needed to “tee-tee.” What is it with kids and bedtime?  They will use ANY excuse to get out of the bed.  I just rolled my eyes at the pottying excuse, since she has JUST started potty-training.

But I graciously helped her into the bathroom, turned on the low-level light, and sat her down on the potty chair when in walked my son who needed to tee-tee too.  Or NOT!  I’m sorry to say he’s still in potty-training phase, even at the ripe old age of 4 1/2.  Maybe one day I’ll share the whole story, after I get to the point I can laugh about it all.

So there we sat, I on the stool, Will on the toilet, and Hunter on the potty chair, THIRTY MINUTES after I put them in the bed three times.  Will had already come to tell me 1) that he wanted to go to the zoo in the summer, and 2) that he and his sister were saying bad words (pooh-pooh and the like) to each other.  Only a four-year-old will volunteer to tell on himself without being prompted.  I just sent him back to bed without another tucking in and told him to “close your mouth and go to sleep.”

So here I am, back to my blogging, and I can’t even figure out where I left off.  But on a good note, Hunter went potty twice today having had a dry diaper or pull-up just before.  Amazing!!  I am praying God’s favor on our family for a speedy potty-training process for her.  After our two-year experience with Will, we need it!!

Hollabacks

Ok-- you did it again.  I’m not sure if I am in a giggly mood or if you are just that funny but I can’t get a grip on it.  One question, can I join you at the zoo this summer?  I promise not to say “poo-poo” to Hunter.

Come on, sistah!  Although, you could just come to my house and have the whole zoo experience without travelling the 2 1/2 hours to get to the nearest one with live animals!
